We wear orange on the trail during hunting season, but should we wear it all the time just to be safe and visible?

Do you try to be visible on the trail when you hike? No matter what season it is?

They say this is a good idea. If you're wearing dark colors and need to be rescued from a boulder field, it's almost impossible to see you.

I have so much black clothing. I wear a lot of athletic type clothing hiking and running and most of the brands just make stuff in black. A lot of it is compression clothing so I reckon they feel black makes look better.

But brighter colors might be the best option.

I can find brighter shirts and socks!
