Yes, I used to see them from time to time when I rode there. Most of the time I wasn't prepared to take a picture and they had slithered off by the time I got ready.

I hiked up the Bald Knob Trail about three years ago. It was frosty when I started out. I didn't see any snakes, just an armadillo. When I stopped in at the Cross visitor center, the nice lady there acted like she thought I was crazy for hiking up the trail because of the rattlesnakes.
