    Protected Bike Lanes

Gas and petrol is very expensive all over the world. Even though we are oil producing country, gas/petrol are not affordable for most people. It makes transportation very costly. How much is gas and petrol sold in your area now?

    Going car free

Unfortunately, it's not the same for us down here because even our road infrastructures for cars isn't that well managed and not to talk about cycling. This is what a busy day looks like in one road leading into Lekki Lagos where I'm currently living.

    Cycling Vlogging

It's very unfortunate and that's what most people are now doing with content creation in other social media platforms.

    Banning women from cycling

Football is the only thing which Saudi Arabia is now seriously being involved in that's making me recognise them since Cristiano Ronaldo moved to play there because I love football so much. I used to fancy Dubai too but not so much now.

    Stolen bike

My parents will never allow you to ride your bike outside the compound because it's that big. Using trackers works very well now but some crooks still know how to remove those trackers if they have the opportunity.

    Stolen bike

Nope, I haven't been unfortunate to have my bike stolen. I always make sure to lock my bike whenever I park. It doesn't matter if I'm not going to stay long where I went into, I'll never take that chance because if your bike get stolen here, it's gone for good. Cars that are stolen are hardly...

    Going car free

Sadly, I wouldn't consider going car free at the moment as long as I'm still living in the big city. It's practically impossible for me to get by using only bikes because some places I need to go covers so much ground only using a car can work. But if I eventually move back to reside in the...

    Cycling Vlogging

I think that everything depends on the vlogger’s intent. If their content is focused on education, safety and inclusivity promoting the benefits of cycling, then I think what they are doing is good for cycling. Unfortunately, a lot of them do it to chase clout which doesn't benefit anyone but them.

    Schools prohibit biking to school

You're right about about, and it gets more annoying when they are being run over by useless drivers who should never be behind a steering. If they can create Low Traffic Networks in school zones, that's definitely going to be very helpful. Our kids need all the protection they can get.

    Banning women from cycling

They have done worst like even banning women from driving cars because Saudi Arabia is one of Middle East country that legally banned women from driving cars. This prohibition latest until 24th June 2018 when it was lifted by royal decree. Honestly, I wouldn't want to have anything to do with...

    Banning women from cycling

It's completely wrong to base cycling on gender. Some years ago, it was a complete ban for women to engage in cycling in the Middle East. Things have changed over the years now with the bans being lifted to some extent.

    Schools prohibit biking to school

I've always been an advocate of safety first over anything else which is why I'm kind of in support of stopping this because I've seen a lot of kids being involved in accidents with careless drivers over the years who speed in school zone. If there are more protected bike lanes for kids to use...

    Protected Bike Lanes

As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing wrong in having a better access to the roadways as it creates more room to ride freely but it should always be at the back of our minds about the risks of accidents with cars as well as having road rage all the time. Having more protected bike lanes...

    Bike bells

Bikes doesn't use horn but bells. They are their signature design to let anyone who hears them know a bike is coming up. Even e-bikes have equally adopted using the same bell designs too.

    Vision Zero

Anything that's done which is targeted at saving lives is far more important because there's no second spare for life. If a cyclist health is jeopardised as a result of accident which could have been prevented with any safety initiative or measures, that should be considered by all means.

Should Cyclists Be Taxed for Using Roads?

The question is what are the real damages bikes cause on the road they are driven? It's almost nothing as far as I'm concerned which is why I wouldn't buy the idea of taxing cyclists for using the roads. In fact, if there were more cyclists than cars, the road wouldn't be needing much maintenance.

Is It Time to Require Bike Registration and Plates?

Our feelings are 100% the same. As much as they both operate on the same road doesn't make them the same because just like you have mentioned, the impacts cars and bikes have are totally different. Paying for bike registration seems good as long as it's the right price but as for plates, I'm not...

    Safety equipment

Personally, I think they are necessary for the safety of cyclists. Even though the designs wouldn't be exactly the same thing with that of cars looking at the size difference, they can be able to come up with what suits bikes appropriately.

    Road Rage

As far as I'm concerned, there will always be confrontation between cyclists and drivers as long as they are on the same road. This is why I'm in support of investing in having better infrastructure such as protected bike lanes to reduce conflicts.

    Specialized Insurance

In my opinion, carrying additional specialized insurance is very good because those specialized coverage addresses increasing accident risks cyclists face everyday which only the standard policies fall short on.
