Some people want cyclists to pay for bike registration and plates.

How do you feel about this?

Personally, as long as the prices are fair, since a bike isn't a heavy vehicle that wears down roads, emits no pollutants, and requires no gas consumption, I could agree with it. However, I would not agree to pay the same cost as a car driver, because we don't have the same impacts as car drivers.

The unfair part is this: I choose to ride my bike, and they choose to drive their car. They can choose to ride instead, but they don't, so why should it be their business since I chose something different than them?

How do you all feel about this issue?

Our feelings are 100% the same. As much as they both operate on the same road doesn't make them the same because just like you have mentioned, the impacts cars and bikes have are totally different. Paying for bike registration seems good as long as it's the right price but as for plates, I'm not so much if it's necessary.
