Most might say we're already taxed for using the roads.

That would be true in most cases; in some way, our tax money is going towards road maintenance and usage.

However, we don't pay for a license, license plates, and registration on a bicycle. Some feel that's unfair. Personally, I don't because those who do choose to drive could also bike instead. We chose not to drive but to bike instead.

However, if my people biked, we know governments would figure out a way to tax us for using our bikes instead.

But overall:

Should Cyclists Be Taxed for Using Roads?

The question is what are the real damages bikes cause on the road they are driven? It's almost nothing as far as I'm concerned which is why I wouldn't buy the idea of taxing cyclists for using the roads. In fact, if there were more cyclists than cars, the road wouldn't be needing much maintenance.
