When it comes to the most famous cycling route bikers talk about, it's Tour de France route with Alpe d’Huez and Mont Ventoux in France the resounding standout options. They have an amazing scenery and also a rewarding difficult climb as well.

Do you have any experience riding in any of those routes? What's the most famous cycling route you can think of?

The Kano-Wudil-Gaya-Shuwarin-Kiyawa-Jama’are-Azare route is the best I've been on with my road bike. I haven't seen a better road route than this since I started my cycling lifestyle.

Why is this route so nice? Is it dangerous at all?

The route is in Kano state which is Nigeria’s second-largest city and a commercial hub that also connects to Jigawa State and Bauchi State.

The route enables inter state and country travel which runs from Kano through Maiduguri and links to Chad as well as Cameroon.

As for being dangerous, intense heat and dehydration risks are high especially during dry season.

I used to cycle a lot when I was 11 so nothing too famous honestly.. Just rode around my neighborhood and the local park trails.

I haven't used it but in my home country Mustang is the most popular routes for cyclists, especially those who are into mountain biking. I haven't tried anything adventurous, I mainly use less populated routes, especially in the outskirts.

So as far as people-dangers, none really?
Bikers have to deal with trucks on the route once in a while but that's not too bad to blow it out of proportion.

I believe most of us started the same way and later begin to brach out in order to explore.

I biked a lot as a kid. I wish I would have kept going all the way until now but I'm still glad I at least reconnected and found it again.
