Trying anything new this year?

I've always been a day hiker, but want to try overnight backpacking.
My son is crossing over to Boy Scouts next month, so I plan to do some overnights with him and the scouts this year.

It's so fun! (And also challenged me) I really like the feeling of it - a submersion into nature of sorts

Trying to do more wilderness hikes this year (starting with Panther's Den), but also new for us will be Denali in June.

Just continue to hit new trails around the country. Probably add another new state or two this year. Can't get enough of my deserts, Going to spend a week in the Canyonlands in Utah backpacking in May. Doing Georgia area in April, thinking about dropping down into Florida, that would be a new state, though my trail research for Florida doesn't reveal much that is appealing to me.

We're hoping to do Red River Gorge this year.

We also want to make it back to Eminence for some camping and hiking.
