Should bicycles be equipped with safety equipment like cars?

I’m talking about headlights, brake lights and even turn signals?

Some advocates believe in this and they say since cars have to do it legally so should bikes, what do you think?

Personally, I think they are necessary for the safety of cyclists. Even though the designs wouldn't be exactly the same thing with that of cars looking at the size difference, they can be able to come up with what suits bikes appropriately.
