Referral Contest Idea

I'd love to get everyone's vote and opinion on a contest idea.

I want to help drive new membership on this community. I have an idea to make it where you can use a referral link to invite new members. It will count it as a referral for your account. The members with the most referrals (first, second, and third place) will win. Prizes can be REI eGift cards or something like that.

When a referred member joins, they too can participate in the contest.

Is this something that would interest any of you?

I think a referral contest is a great idea us users! Will hopefully bring in some additional users so we can share and learn more from each other. Will probably only be worth it from your standpoint though if you get a decent amount of interest and competitive effort.
