How much water do you typically bring on a day hike?
Does it change with the season or temperature?
I usually bring about 3 to 4 liters of water in two water bottles with me on standard day hikes. I might drink one bottle in the winter and 1.25 bottles in the hottest of summer.
I'm probably drinking less than what I should, but I do load the bottle up with electrolytes.
If trail running, I use a hydration bladder with 2.5 liters of water. Regular water in the winter and water with electrolytes in the summer.
How about you all? How much water do you carry on your normal day hike?
