The reason I am here is to make connections, learn and find likeminded people. I am working on an academic research that may interest a lot of people in this forum and I need some more voices to help me get relevant results for my quantitative analysis. Throughout my life I have always been a very active, competitive and nature loving person. Now that I am older, my hobbies, adventures and activities help me balance myself and literally keep me sane in this fast-paced and ever evolving reality that we are living in. Knowing quite a few people that are struggling with mental health and their self-image, I aim to help people by finding themselves through challenges and reconnecting with nature.
This Master's thesis investigates how adventure tourism experiences enhance psychological well-being through the satisfaction of basic psychological needs (autonomy, competence, and social connection) and transformative self-assurance.
In simple terms: I am studying what makes adventure experiences psychologically beneficial—whether it's the challenge, the natural environment, the physical activity, the novelty, or the social connections—and how these factors lead to increased life satisfaction and sense of meaning.

I would be over the moon to have discussions with people that want to share their experiences, want to know more about my research or simply take five minutes out of their day to answer my short survey. I am looking forward to meeting you all. Peace.
