Are expensive hiking boots just overrated?
Are we just paying for the brand?
I bought Oboz a few years ago and they were around $200 which to me is a lot of money.
They didn't last very long. I have other hiking boots that were way cheaper that lasted around 5 years of heavy rugged use. My first pair of Oboz were really nice - second pair, same model (just upgraded) but higher cost didn't last long at all.
I got me some Merrells coming. Cyber Monday deal on a pair for me and the wife. $120 each, we'll see how long they last!
Thoughts on this folks?
