Bike repair gone wrong!

Have you ever had a bike repair that didn't quite go as planned?

Wrong in terms of it not fixing the problem or even causing more problems, such as more damage or even a wreck?

If so, please tell us about it and how we can avoid a similar situation.

I had an experience with a car not a bike. It was with my dad's car years ago. I tried changing the brake pads on my own but ended messing everything up. It was my last time of trying to fix when I don't know exactly how to do it well.
