    Never leave the camera home. It only enhances the memories your creating. Can't think of anything gained by it. Sure would not enhance my hiking adventures.

    Just like Driftwoody, Kansas City is a hiking desert, you have to drive 3 hours to find anything better than a cow pasture. But their are a couple Mo. conservation areas and county parks that have some basic trails for beginners.

    Buddy and I at the Great Sand Dunes NP, Colorado. He has done 100's of miles a year with me for three plus years now. He keeps up, we will hike a steady 2.7 - 3 miles an hour for hours a day.

    Tuff one, vote day hiking because their is so much to experience, day hiking gives a taste of so much. But still love to experience the long hike-also part of the grandeur

    Just did 10 day trip, focus was Death Valley NP, but hiked enroute both ways. Completed 56 trails in 6 states. Haven't tallied miles but probably around 100. Death valley did not disappoint. This pic is untouched, of the bottom of Ubehebe crater, totally out of this world! Will do more...

    Was out 7 days, did 38 trails ranging from .2 miles to 8, in 6 states - main destination was Georgia. I always hike in route to my main destination to break up the drive but more importantly to hit some remote special scenic areas i otherwise would never see.

    Yes it should be reported. But one needs to be wary in confronting someone in the act, alot of crazies out there.

    views from Cheaha mountain, just down the road from the actual highpoint.

    Added to my high points last week. I did Alabama’s, mount Cheaha, brief 1 mile out and back. No views from high point but there is in the park.
