    I did the 50k. I didn't make it 62 miles this year, my knees were giving me a lot of problems.

    I get altitude sickness, the older I get the worse it gets. The worst I've ever had was on the Sawtooth Ridge between Mt. Beirstadt and Mt. Evans, I was sick before I started the traverse but I pushed it anyway. I couldn't make the Mt. Evans summit and had to hike back through the willows as...

    Falling

    The faster the race I'm training for, the more I hurt myself training on trails for the race. The 1st time I trained for the red cedar trail run I fell 3-4 times.

    Marathons

    I ran the Tunnel Hill Marathon last year, it counts as a trail run. It was 2 out and backs stuck together so you turned around a couple miles north of the tunnel. It was a lot of fun to run with all the 100 mile runners and see them finishing their races.

    I know, right? Caves are going to get explored. Cave closures only keep out cavers, spelunkers don't care.
