The snow is usually melted by the end of July, and it doesn't start until September.

I climbed Carter Mountain in Wyoming this year It was the first time I hiked at that kind of elevation for many years. It left me wanting more. In 2026, at least, I hope to hike Clingman's Dome in the Great Smoky Mountain NP. If I get a chance to go west, that would be great too

We visited Clingman's Dome last year but drove to it. It was so amazing. Clear day. Saw layers of mountains.

I would just like to be able to get out and do more local hiking, maybe go to neighboring states and try some there. We went to Red River Gorge this summer, it was beautiful. I could have stayed for weeks and been perfectly content seeing more than what we were able to that weekend.
