What's you hiking outfit in the warmer seasons?

How about in the colder seasons?

Wam weather and cold all but identical, shorts, long sleeve shirt, wool socks. In cold weather go from cap for shade to stocking cap and add jacket. Always have day pack for emergency gear and extra layers if needed. Very important to monitor forecast and have contingency plan.

I have hiked in shorts in 10 degree weather for miles and do fine. Best hiking temps is 40’s -50’s, but have done 100 degrees in the desert. IMG_9234.jpeg

I get cold easily, so in the winter, I have to layer up, but I also get really hot easily, too, so summer is shorts, no matter if I hike on the trail or bushwhack off the trail.

Warmer weather I don't hike much but if I do I'm wearing long sleeves and pants same as winter hiking. I wear a jacket in the winter but I always get hot and take it off.

I only do a jacket when it's extremely cold and I need it to block wind chill, otherwise it's a Merino wool baselayer shirt and a hoodie on over it.
