What catches your eye the most?

For those of you who take photos while hiking, what catches your eye the most for that perfect shot?

Is it something like light, color, or texture?

Or is it something else? What makes you snap a pic while you're hiking?

I was hiking a trail up in Roanoke, VA, while visiting my friend in college a few years back! We both grew up in Vero Beach, Florida, so this is far different from the beachside we were used to!

A great view always does it for me! Took this at the peak of the trail!

I really like that last photo with the bluffs on both sides and the overlook in the middle! It's dreamy!
