Trails with something left behind on it

Theirs' quiet a few. One here in the Midwest is Rush Arkansas. An old mining town as many ghost towns are. free primitive NF campground adjacent to it and other premiere hiking.

What are some trails you've hiked that leads you to stuff left behind such as ghost towns, old home site, etc.
At Acadia National Park there is a hike we did called Six Summits (or Six Peaks) and off the beaten track of 1 of the peaks is an airplane that crashed in the 70 days I believe. The remnants of the plane are still there. I don't think this is really advertised, the only reason we found it was a lady up there asked us where it was and I got super curious and we spent an hour and finally found it. It made the hike worth it because it was super foggy so we didn't see anything.

Yes all public. This area is rich in nice hikes. Visiting this jewel, do the 3.5 mile loop trail, camp free at the campground, and then travel just south here and hike the 3 mile indian rock house trail makes a wonderful trip. Indian rock house is special scenic area.

Is their a trail associated with it?
It's right on the R2R trail. Park in the parking lot going up High Knob right before you go past the pillars and main sign. Cross the road and take R2R until you see them. They'll be on your left. The first newer cabin on your left is private.
