I call it the flying goose. Hiking off trail in the Bisti Badlands in New Mexico.
From nose to tail he was about 10 ft. long!

Garden of the Gods is a must do special scenic area. I have travelled from Missouri a number of times to bring family and friends there. Love southern Illinois.
