How often do you stop to smell the flowers on a hike?

That's what my wife calls it.

We stop and looks at insects, frogs, snakes, rocks, and all things natural pretty much the entire hike.

If you wanted to get the hike done and over with as quick as possible, don't hike with us. LOL

Are you the same or opposite? How often do you stop to check things out while hiking?

If taking pics is stopping to smell the flowers. I might take 100-150 pics a day.

I hike reasonably fast but only agenda is to enjoy so stop regularly

I'm about there myself.

I usually take 50 to 150 photos, depending on how long the hike is.

I use my iPhone so it's easy as heck to do it.
