Do you ever hike long miles in extreme temperatures?

Extreme as in really hot and humid, or extremely cold and frigid.

Will you go on longer day hikes or even overnight hikes in extreme temps?

The night 50k at the Shawnee Hills Trail Races is neat because it's usually so darn hot during the day. I think I do better in bad weather.
