Trail Newbie
I'm Kit, not my real name, a 25 year old that loves spending time out in nature since I get overwhelmed in urban areas. Whenever I head out into nature I bring my DSLR camera and a head mounted camera so I can try out some techniques for photography and potentially start making videos of trails I like.
Growing up in Bloomington-Normal I spent many summer and autumn weekends visiting Moraine View State Park with my family. It wasn't until I turned 17 when my mom, sister, and I took a trip to Asheville NC, that I truly fell in love with the woods, cliffs, and rivers. Two years later we went the opposite direction and saw Custer State Park, Yellowstone, and the Beartooth Pass, all of which have been highlights on my journey of exploration of the NPS and state park systems.
Currently I'm moving back down to Carbondale to explore more of the Shawnee National Forest, get back in shape, and pursue a degree in forestry (eventually). If you see someone with a Canon T7, and a small Eevee plush around the forest you've probably seen me.
P.S. I've thrown in my favorite photo from a trip to the Giant City Nature Trail I took on December 7th of this year in celebration of moving back to Carbondale
