Are any of you into fastpacking at all?

This is where you day hike or even overnight backpack at a quicker pace. It's not quite a run but more of a faster hiking regiment.

Many fastpackers dress and carry for ultralight weight travel.

Do any of you get into this at all?

I have not heard of fastpacking? Curious, what mph do they do?

My normal pace hovers around 3 mph. Some hikes are about 3.3-5 and some are about 2.5-8. I loose half a mile an hour with the dog:)
How fast does a fastpacker go? I have covered 35 miles in a 24hour period. I will have to research fastpacking. Sounds like an endurance thing.

It's a mix between fast hiking and trail running. I'm sure some will even trail run. I think it's exercise more than anything.

I'd miss a lot of stuff and I wouldn't like that lol.

But I've thought about trying it for the fitness aspect of it.
