In the winter months, my wife and I are known to bushwhack very remote sections of the forest looking for new things.
We cross creeks a lot. There is always that chance of falling in and getting completely soaking wet.
Now I could build a fire, strip naked and dry my clothes while covering up...
Do you bring rainwear with you on hikes?
I usually just bring a raincoat.
However, some people bring raincoat, rain pants, shoe covers, special rain hats, and more.
How do you do it?
It seems a lot of hikers are trading in their hiking boots for trail runners these days.
I'm one of them. At least in the summer months, my trail runners are exceptionally more comfortable than boots. In the winter, I need waterproof boots because I cross creeks a lot. So, I can't do trail...
What do you do when your hiking gear breaks or needs repair?

Hiking through them is easier than running through them - haha.
However, I hope to seriously increase my running game in the wintertime. Wondering about you other runners here! Do you run...
When it comes to the latest and greatest technology, what hiking tech are you using?
For me, it's my Garmin Watch (Instinct 3 Solar Tactical) and my GoPro 12. That's about as tech as I get on the trail.
How about you all?
All seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.
What does your hiking outfit consist of?
Do you take weight into consideration when choosing what to wear?
There are some name brand things that I like, like Osprey Packs but in all honesty, I've heard people using backpacks from Walmart and loving them.
I think it all boils down to the comfort and functionality of the gear that you personally get rather than what the brand is.
I should carry some pepper spray with me just in case for when I'm in the Shawnee. I have a big defensive knife but at that point, I'd have to be at very close contact with a threat and that's not efficient for security. Pepper spray would be more effective to keep away from the threat...
Personally, I think it's good, too.
It means more people are being more healthy and that might decrease the need for medical visits which hurts the healthcare system. And more people will care about public land which is definitely needed since some people are trying to sell off public land.
