    Saltshake Rock is very close to HNF, OnX shows it being on the edge. Whoever owns it doesn't mark the boundary, no purple paint or signs.

    Hiking Trail Recommendations in California & San Diego

    Mt. Whitney is the highest mountain in the contiguous United States, Mt. Shasta is a 14er too. I've heard class 3 is harder in California than in Colorado.

    I've never hiked in California. If I could, I'd definitely want to hike Mt. Whitney and Mt. Shasta. Yosemite NP looks really nice too!

    I would recommend that beginners get out there and try any trail they're comfortable with. Just be aware of your surroundings and know your limits!

    Just the 26.2 miles, I got 2nd OA 1st M. The woman that beat me was very fast! I think I'm going to run it again next year.

    River to River Trail

    The blazes are there, they are just easy to miss! The braided nature of some portions of the trail can be confusing, some of the work arounds have work arounds! Idk how blazes would help with that.

    Yep, it's got superglue, duct tape, safety pins, and a multi-tool. It has battery chargers and cables too. When I'm running i carry extra parts for my running vest.

    I ran the Tunnel hill marathon today, it was something! Weather seems to be a wild card at races there.

    I have a trashbag to, if you put your head through the bottom and sit Indian style with a candle under the bag, it's a "Palmer Furnace".
