I take a lot of photos and obviously share them on social media through my Hiking with Shawn brand.
Photos do better than videos on most social media pages, too, at least on mine, so I try to share them every day :)
I work in surveillance. I maintain security cameras and watch them for violations. But it's private sector and there is plenty of warning and notice that they're there.
Nothing is really hidden.
And this is important.
Some people are terrified of dogs due to past bad experiences. Public land belongs to people, not pets.
I'm for taking a leashed dog on the trail but against unleashed because it could cause problems for those who aren't pet-friendly.
I've used Oboz for years, but they don't seem to be as durable as they were when I first started using them.
I've worn Merrell trail running shoes all summer. I like them a lot. I might try their hiking boots next - as long as they have a waterproof option.
Personally, I don't support putting a price tag on recreational activities on public land. We pay taxes which already goes to that. I agree with campground fees, etc. because that takes money to operation and it's extra but to pay to hike a trail or park a car? I just can't really get behind that.
