Toughest Trail Completed

What's the toughest trail you have completed for trail running?

For me, it would have to be the Shawnee Hills Races half-marathon route. It's my longest run so far so that would have to be it.

How about you all?
 
I tried the 'skyline traverse' in the Boulder, Co Flatirons, i didn't finish it! I got to the 4th mountain peak, and my average pace was under 3mph, that's not great for a run!

Was it just too hilly for you? Or was it sketchy and you slowed down for that?

It was very hilly, very rocky trail in places, and it was 90° outside. The skyline traverse is almost 20 miles long so I had to carry over a half gallon of water, and it's point to point so I would have had to run about 10 more miles back to the parking.

That was just a disaster setup waiting to happen!

Well, you and everyone else who even attempted that run deserves a medal. 🏅
I think if I tried something like that my reward would be a ride in an ambulance. 🚑 Maybe a hearse.
