Reptile Cave Rescue

Sometimes turtles and snakes will make their way further into caves than they should, their bodies can't handle the temperature for very long. Turtles always get rescued because it's easy, but what about a snake? Would you carry a snake out of a cave if it was in danger?

I like snakes. I was to conserve them.

Snakes migrate into bluffs. They pretty much go into cave-like holes. They go deep where it gets warmer.

But most of the time, when you attempt to move an animal that is hibernating, they won't survive. Sometimes, it's best to let nature be nature, sadly.

I've seen snakes brumating in the twilight zone of caves, and sometimes there are shortcuts to deep cave passage if you're a snake. They die if they go to far into a cave, it's too cold for them to survive. This ring necked snake was 700' back, I hope he has a way out.
