Anyone have any good suggestions for a high-top shoe rated for hiking?

Me and the wife is looking for one.

It needs to be comfortable, durable, and have some traction.

What do you think?

I have Oboz. Comfortable. I have a narrow foot, and they are wide on me. I slipped on algae and fell. Probably not an Oboz issue.

I am also interested in others’ recommendations.

We use Oboz waterproof boots during the winter. We've bought them now for about 3 seasons. Welcome to the forum :)

I wear Topo Lone Trees with a Vibram sole. Oddly, I find that my ankles are more stable if I'm not wearing a boot or high top. Of course, if you're wanting the high top for protection, I am at more risk of snake bite and some other ankle hazards. If traction on slick surfaces is a priority, you may want to look for a Vibram sole.
